Ever notice when someone's talking to you, the urge to respond, or rehearsing your response, before they've finished?
We often think of mindfulness practice as something we do to soothe ourselves - the benefits are bountiful after all! But what about when we practice presence with others, what happens then?
What would happen if we just let someone share where they're at and didn't try to advise or placate or fix or solve or impress?
What if we didn't fill the silence after they've spoken with a βwell, at least...β? Instead, just noticed the colour of their eyes as we let them open their hearts? Let them be heard, exactly as they are?
Perhaps all any of us want is just to be heard and be seen. To be held in another's attention for just a few precious moments.
And what if that's all it takes to help someone bloom today?
(Perhaps we might bloom too ππ·)
Happy blooming Monday π
